Endodontic FAQ

What is endodontics?

Endodontic treatment is often  a straightforward procedure to relieve dental pain and save your teeth. Patients typically need  treatment when there is inflammation or infection in the roots of a tooth. Dr. Allen who specializes in such treatment carefully removes the pulp inside the tooth, cleans, disinfects and shapes the root canals, and places a temporary  filling to seal the space.

What happens after treatment?

Upon completion of your root canal, it is your responsibility to contact your general dentist for an appointment  2 weeks after treatment, for the permanent restoration.
